Summer School “HELLO, THIS IS SLOVENIAN MEDITERRANEAN!”

May 4, 2016

Dear friends of Slovenia!

The Summer School entitled “HELLO, THIS IS SLOVENIAN MEDITERRANEAN!”, organized by the Faculty of Humanities at the University of Primorska, is held every year in Koper, in the summer (second half of July) already for 23 years.

The course is intended for all who wish to learn the Slovene language or improve their knowledge and get to know Slovenia and its culture while spending two pleasant summer weeks by the Slovenian sea.

The concept of the Summer Course has developed over the course of the last 22 years. We combined the usefulness of learning Slovene and getting more familiar with Slovenia with the pleasures of spending two summer weeks by the sea. The results of language tests as well as participants’ impressions gathered in a newsletter and the results of a questionnaire showed how successful the Summer Courses were. We are also very glad to see that many participants are coming back each year.

In 2016 the Summer School will be held between Monday, July 18th and Friday, July 29th.  This year’s cover topic is “The image of woman in the Slovenian language, literature and culture”.

For our participants in 2016 we denounce also the Call for the grants (the deadline for application is Friday, June 6th 2016).

We hope to see you in the Mediterranean town of Koper, and thank you for informing everyone who would be interested in attending the Summer courses. More information in English is available on the website http://www.fhs.upr.si/en/summersch/halo/. Check the brochure and the application form.

Lepo pozdravljeni!
